I met this beautiful little girl on Bords de Seine, in Mantes la Jolie with her mother and her auntie, one of the models I photoshoot here and there.
It was a bright Sunday, sunny September afternoon, Indian summer I must say. I used natural light in a natural environment close the Seine. The decor was natural and appropriate for a kid venture 🙂
This was the perfect place for natural portraits.
Time: Noon(at 12:30 pm)
Weather: Sunny and hot
Camera: Canon EOS 600D
Lense: 17-200 mm
ISO with fixed value at 100
I chose wide apertures for maximum effects.
Lana’s mother brought four different outfits for the photoshoot including the one she has on her.
So we started with this bright fuschia jumpsuit.
Then Lana had on a nice princess light pink dress and changer her hairstyle for the new set.
Third set, she had on a grey lgging, a fushia top and a denim jacket. First I shoot her with the jacket, then without.
Final set, Lana had on a blue print dress and new hair style.
The little girl was full of energy. I immortilized moments of her, the way she was and the way I wanted her to be. I let Lana posed the way she wanted, I let her going through her emotion, be who she is. Sometimes, her aunt tried to direct her. But I always feel like you should let a kid be himself when photographying.
Lana is a toddler, she had her own language, so she was speaking her own language. She was running, jumping, laughing, acting silly.
I had to go down, I had to shot at her own level, that’s what you do when you take picture of children. I wasn’t tired at all, it’s dense, it’s full of energy and creativity.
Lana also posed with her auntie. The little princess was giving me eye contact.
